We are so honored to have you joining a Sloan Tour. If this is your first time, know that we have taken every measure to ensure a most memorable and value-packed tour.

Your willingness to share this time with us and your trust in allowing us the opportunity to show off and represent your visiting country are great honors for me and my team.

Terms & Conditions

While every effort is made to adhere to the specifics outlined, changes may sometimes be required. Therefore, all prices, itineraries, accommodations, admissions, and other information are those in effect at the time of printing and are subject to change without notice.

Please read ALL the following information and then complete your attached registration form. Please note: Each traveler must fill out their forms. After completing the required paperwork, digitally sign with your printed name and click complete. You may then pay your $1,500 non-refundable deposit or pay for your trip in full.

Costs & Payments

Your final payment of $5,695 includes all transportation (tour vehicle and ferry,) 2 airport transfers, accommodations, sightseeing and entrance fees, tour-included excursions, fuel surcharges, and taxes, along with breakfast and one other meal every day.

Airfare, personal incidentals, tour extensions, and gratuity are not included. All final payments are due, in full, 60 days before departure, or you risk the forfeiture of your place on tour.

All rates are per person in U.S. dollars, based on room occupancy of two or more persons, and are subject to change. If you are traveling alone and wish to be paired with a fellow traveler, we are happy to help arrange that at no additional cost.

Please note: Your place on this tour is secure and constitutes an agreement to the terms and conditions only when your registration forms and deposit are received.

If you travel alone and wish to have private accommodations, a single supplement (SS) charge of $1,995.00 will be factored in to make that arrangement possible.

Arrival & Day Zero

All guests will meet at a designated meeting place at Edinburgh Airport on the morning of the tour, beginning at 9:30 am. If, for any reason, you are not on time to meet the group at the Airport at the designated departure time of 10:00 am, meeting up with the tour group will be at your expense and could be costly.

To reduce the likelihood of this incident and other travel related stressors, we offer an optional, day-zero option for the trip if you want to take advantage of it. Our day zero package is a day for your body to adjust and includes one night's accommodation, small outing, dinner, and breakfast the following morning.

Passports & Visas

Be sure your passport is up-to-date (valid for at least 6 months beyond your departure date) and that you have included your passport number on the “Registration Form.” If you do not have a passport, write (n/a) on the passport number line and provide the information to Sloan Tours when your passport arrives.

The United Kingdom requires visitors to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for short visits. This replaces the previous visa-free status for many short-term trips and is similar to the US ESTA system. You must have an ETA for tourism and for transit through the UK if you pass through border control.

You can apply online through the official UK government website or app. The cost is £10 per application, and an ETA is valid for two years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. For the most current information, or to submit your simple application, you should check the official GOV.UK website.

Cancellations

Deposits can not be refunded. If you need to cancel, you will be entitled to a 100% refund, less your deposit, if canceled 60 days or more before departure. If canceled between 30-59 days, you will receive a 50% refund, less your deposit. Cancellations made with less than 30 days until the tour day, will receive a non-transferable Sloan Tours travel voucher for 50%, less deposit. Sloan Tours will only accept cancellations in writing, mail or email. Cancellations after that are guaranteed no refund.

Voluntary cancellations due to political instability, acts of terrorism, government intervention, or US State Department warnings will be subject to the above policy, provided the tour can continue. Should Sloan Tours elect to cancel a departure for any reason, every effort will be made to obtain a total refund from suppliers; however, we cannot guarantee it on their behalf.

In the highly unlikely event that Sloan Tours were to cancel a tour for any reason not listed above, every effort is made to issue a full refund, including the deposit.

Luggage

Luggage will be limited to one (1) checked piece of luggage, no larger than 50 lbs, and one (1) small personal bag, such as a backpack, purse, etc. Despite popular opinion, this luggage limit is highly doable, and no exceptions can be made. Please check with the airlines for weight and dimension restrictions. Limiting our luggage is necessary for logistical reasons and to support your overall well-being. Couples traveling together often find one checked luggage surprisingly doable for their travels. (We provide a complete packing list, specific for your tour.)

Sloan Tours is not responsible for damage to or loss of luggage or personal items. All damage/loss must be reported at the time of the incident and documented in writing by a local authority for submission to any insurance company you may get for your own travel.

Travel Insurance

You may purchase travel insurance for possible tour/airline cancellations, lost luggage, delays or medical needs while overseas, and more. If you are interested, excellent resources for trip insurance include www.insuremytrip.com and www.travelguard.com. Prices vary, and basic coverage without trip cancellation can be very inexpensive. There are two ways to quote your trip.

If you are unsure about going, please fill out the requested information. If it is time to go and you know that you are getting on the plane and only need lost baggage, medical, air evacuation coverage, etc, then put 0.00 in for the trip cost. Doing so will eliminate the trip cancellation portion and could drastically lower the price.

Travelers With Disabilities

Participants requiring ANY form of assistance are REQUIRED to notify Sloan Tours in writing at the time of making their reservation. They must be cleared “fit for travel” according to the trip outline before their spot can be reserved. Failure to do this will result in the loss of the deposit and a place on the tour. If significant assistance or care is required, you must also be accompanied by an individual responsible for providing additional services.

Registration

Sloan Tours must receive all final payments at least 60 days before departure. Payment of the registration fee constitutes agreement to all terms and conditions provided.
